Raven is being trained as a emotional support/companion dog.
She will be ready for her new home late 2026.
TRAINER NOTES:
Raven has done exceptionally well in her training.
She does basic commands, sit, spin, come (occasionally on her time), fetches, doesn't jump on anyone (has some impulse control) Still gets excited and runs around your feet, loves young children and loves other dogs.
Harness and leash trained and follows even without a leash in familiar environments.
Travels great in a carrier in the car. No barking habits except when she is in a 2 minute time out. (doesn't like it so she makes those corrections easily). Or when I am making her favorite breakfast.
She has had a lot of exposure training with different sounds and experiences in stores, parking lots, friends homes. including vacuums, hair driers, tractor, lawn mower, cars, etc. The grocery store is the only one that always has a lot going on and that still makes her just a little nervous. But she will still greet anyone that wants to pet her! she gets better every visit. which we do every other day.
UPDATE: 7/2025
Raven is very confident and loves to be with her person. She likes people, although she pretends to be shy for the first couple of meetings, then she will take off running to them. Kids are acceptable to her if they come slowly and and giver her a minute to determine if it's a little one she wants to know. There is a bit of "over excitement" when meeting other dogs. There hasn't been a dog she doesn't want to be friends with! She is obedient (as much as a 7 month old puppy can be), sweet and loves to go "bye-by. Trips to the store, golfing, camping, kayaking and even air travel... There is really nothing she won't do with you. Her leash skills are great and we work on that at least 5 times a week on outings. She has been potty trained without accident for several months now! As a treat motivated puppy, it makes it easy for her to want to be trained and to please you. I still work with her on a daily basis getting her ready for her new job as a service companion. She has a lot to offer. Her cute, sweet personality and tiny little 6 pound self, make everyone who sees her smile!!!
