We specialize in training for tiny, young puppies!

Our 1, 2, 3 or 4 week, positive, reward-based training is only for young, tiny teacup puppies. We love getting to enjoy having little ones be in our home and join our family, even if it is only for a short time before they find a new furever home!

We do the hard part, so you don't have to

Potty-training any small breed takes a lot of time, every day, with a lot of dedication and consistency.  Small breeds tend to be really stubborn and very resistant when it comes to training and especially tinkle time training! Many new owners don't have the kind of time or consistency required to be successful. Because of the frustration, some may pass the puppy on to someone else, or worse, the pound. Be honest, do you have the time it takes to train your puppy yourself?  A pre-trained puppy may be just what you're looking for.

Positive, reward-based training techniques

We work with a few puppies at a time to provide all the care and individual attention they each need for proper training.  This along with play, socialization and daily exercise.  The harshest thing any puppy will ever hear during our training is a firm "no", "leave it" and "off".

We never yell, punish, discipline or startle by slapping a rolled newspaper or magazine at them for any reason.  These actions can cause anxiety, aggression and instill fear.  Which can lead behavioral problems that may or may not be able to be corrected. We have all seen nervous, anxious puppies and they just don't appear to be very happy.  Our goal with every graduate puppy is to instill confidence, to be relaxed and happy, well-adjusted and excited to go to their new home and meet the parents!  We do encourage puppy parents to come visit and participate throughout the training!

We train and care for puppies IN OUR HOME.  Our LEVEL structure below provides new owners optional training selections depending on when the puppy has been reserved.  Training prices will be added to the price of the puppy.

Want us to train your own puppy?

TPPT is very committed to our task of getting puppies and owners ready to transition for the arrival of a new furry family member and making it as easy as possible for everyone to adjust.

We have very specific guidelines for accepting a puppy you select and would like to be trained by TPPT.

  • Puppy has to be between 8-12 weeks and comes straight to us from a breeder and dropped off the day of pick up by the new parents.

  • We only accept small breeds. Weighing between 2-4 pounds at the time of drop off.

  • We DO NOT accept puppies that have been at the new home.  It is less stressful for them to come straight to us and not be in yet another place.  It gets confusing and they can pick up bad habits even if they are there for a just a few days.

  • Pre-arrangements must be made between breeder, TPPT and new owners.  We only take a puppy or 2 at any one time so space and scheduling are extremely limited.  You may find that perfect puppy, but we don't have availability, we will not accept your puppy once you've taken it home.  You may have to chose a puppy from a future litter for scheduling to be arranged and confirmed.

  • Current on all vaccines and worming.

  • Declared healthy by OUR veterinarian. We take your puppy to the veterinarian next business day after arrival for a health check. We will administer any medications, wormers/parasitic treatments, vaccinations  (5 way and Bordetella vaccinations will be required) and/or veterinarian care will be provided and administered by TPPT, at owners expense and will be due at the end of training at pick up.

  • We do offer a Hand Nanny flight service for puppies coming from out of town.  Please go to Pickup/Delivery
